Indonesian Net Book, Cheep and Good Quality

JAKARTA, - I have to wait for the OLPC project (One Laptop Per Child) was initiated by Professor Negroponte of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA, to get a laptop with prices around 100 dollars. Indonesian companies were now able to provide the laptop with the cheapest price.

To get prices as cheap as it also does not need to buy up thousands or even millions of units of units as required in the OLPC program in the beginning. Buy one unit could be a price for it. Baseball believes?

Indonesia PT Elevo Technologies (ETI) is the first company in Indonesia that will lead to the presence of consumer laptops for Rp 1 million. There are two types of plans net book will be released in August 2010, namely Net book Elevo R7 (7-inch screen) with the price of Rp 998 000 and Elevo R10 (10-inch screen) with a price of USD 1.398 million.

"We've managed to get the formula right for the price of net book that fits in the pockets of the Indonesian people. This is a huge leap in our IT industry. This is a dream comes true!" Borton said Liew, Marketing Director of PT ETI, in a release received Kompas.com.

R7 Elevo use 7-inch screen (800 x 480), ARM9 533MHz processor, WiFi 802.11b / g, OS Original Windows CE 6.0 or Android, Memory 128 MB, 2GB Nand Flash, 2-in-one SD Card, 2 USB Port, Keyboard, Touch Pad, USB to VGA (Optional), USB to Ethernet (Optional).

While the R10 uses 10-inch screen (1024 x 600), ARM9 533MHz processor, WiFi 802.11b / g, OS Original Windows CE 6.0 or Android, Memory 128 MB, 2GB Nand Flash, 2-in-one SD Card, 2 USB Port, Chiclet Keyboard, Touch Pad, Built-in Camera 1.3 Mpx, Built-in Stereo Speakers, Earphone Jack in / out, RJ 45 Ethernet LAN, USB to VGA (Optional).

ETI admitted with prices as cheap as it has not been able to provide large capacity storage media. However, users who want a net book storage capacity greater can use the SD card as an extra.

Despite coming out next August, ETI has been providing early booking programs to anticipate jumps enthusiasts on the first day of sales from this day. www.elevo.co.id visit for more information.

Download Opera 10.0 Turbo Alpha Build 1355

Download Opera 10.0 Turbo Alpha

Build 1355

If just a regular Opera, frankly I'm not interested. Because, all the existing features in Opera, Firefox is also available. The difference, and weaknesses, Firefox is very greedy as a computer resource. Firefox is using too much memory. Like a girl, Firefox is really obsessive, if not diligent in cleaning memory, attention computers out for him alone, especially when opening multiple tabs. But, yes it was. Currently Firefox is the best browser in terms of features and security.

Well, Opera Turbo claimed as the fastest browser in the world, even when we are in a slow connection! Where can? Yes you can! Turbo is the way of working Opera from Opera to send all requests to the server they are compressed. Server redirects to the URL in question and respond to server compression Opera earlier and we passed them on to the Opera browser. In other words, occurs two times a jump request using Opera Turbo. In other words, too, actually a kind of proxy Opera Turbo acts where all the requests sent to servers outside the Opera. Not that it would slow? All requests compressed by the compression of the Opera server. So, from what I gather, if we suppose to request a 100KB page complete with pictures, using the Opera Turbo to 50KB. Remember, this is just my opinion, not a statement of the Opera. The goal is only to provide an overview only.

Whoa, you said. What about the SSL connection? If through the Opera servers, they could read the contents of the request we did. Relax, read about Turbo Opera at the official page of Opera Turbo. He said, for SSL connections, we will direct connections. In other words, if there's SSL request, keep up later if we are destitute of bandwidth.

I myself have been testing it at the office. Internet access in the office happened to slow enough, perfect for testing Opera Turbo. With the naughty, I test by accessing facebook. The results were quite impressive. Facebook will be greedy enough bandwidth (the proof is blocked at many offices) was downloaded with a fast enough pace than usual. Well, I imagine so, just try it there Turbo Opera for mobile phones. And wow Turns out there too! (20.09032 million Update: For the mobile version, Opera Mini's compression technology is first). Imagine, when generally browsing the internet pake HAPE can run out, say, Rp.10, 000 per week, with the Opera Turbo, can save, say, Rp.5, 000 dong! Great! Though the new Alpha stage, but already sophisticated.

From the test results by using the observer of Internet connection, I can confirm that every connection that comes out of the Opera Turbo is always sent to the server compression Opera. So, that's the way Opera 10 Turbo to be the fastest browser today. Is this step will be copied by other browser? We'll see. What is clear, at this time Opera was not the big players such as Internet Explorer and Firefox. For slower connections, such as in the office, which must have my (possibly) be returning to the Opera. I recall the song Take That, whatever I did, I did not mean it, I just want you back for good. If Opera Turbo is faster, I'll just use Opera anymore.

Please Take Opera Turbo Here

Windows Vista and 11 Pillars of Failure

Windows Vista and 11 Pillars of Failure

Although public attention is directed to Windows 7 (the next Windows version), it seems Vista have two different types of users. Users of the first kind are happy to use Vista without any complaints. The second kind (and more kinds of sounds in the computer industry) members are users who criticize and complain about any deficiencies that exist in the OS.

Most complaints over Vista due to the making of Vista that is less satisfying, and mistakes made Microsoft's marketing strategy. Most complaints are from an anti-Microsoft reaction of dissatisfied over the history, business strategy, tactics and false announcement of Microsoft.

I am offended by the fake announcement Microsoft, because there are times when you hurt for Microsoft who issued the promise - a promise which is totally excessive kept. In the case of Vista, they announced the three "pillars" for Vista, namely:

• WinFS - which promised to change way users interact with files on your computer
• Aero - the new look for Windows
• Indigo - a component for interacting with web services

Vista only managed to give one of the three pillars mentioned above, namely Aero requiring sophisticated hardware and slow down computer performance. Still dealing with three pillars above, below are 11 reasons why Vista was not much liked:

1. Users are confused - since the beginning; users complained about the many versions of Vista were sold. Who needs all these variants? All it takes is one simple version (Home) and one version that have all the features (Pro). This confusion seems to occur because there is no Microsoft employee who understands the marketing strategy.
2. The size of the source code - are too big.
3. Components - the missing component. WinFS, the promised file system and one of the main pillars of Vista does not come with Vista. This file system development started in 1991, and has so far remained unresolved. Why?
4. Waste of laptop batteries. This should be repaired with a separate source code, and hybrid hard disk (HHD). However, current users still have to use very expensive SSD.
5. HHD - I am still upset about being told by the HD industry that the benefits of new-generation hard disk (HD) will "make all users move to Vista." This was announced two years ago, and until now stills no sequel. My guess: not working properly and yet that can solve this problem.
6. Stickers Vista capable bogus - campaign to "Windows Vista capable" Microsoft is a huge marketing failure. Many computers are sold with the sticker "Windows Vista capable" which turned out to not be able to operate Vista.
7. Drivers are minimal. Quite surprising that all existing Windows drivers in XP are not compatible with Vista. What happened?
8. There is no consistent advice to users, and Microsoft does not lend a hand. Some people say that you should buy a new computer with Vista and not upgrade from XP, some say the upgrade should be done. Microsoft should create a special site that can test the computer from the internet and advises the user whether they should buy a new computer or upgrade.
9. XP mania. All people love XP, and want to keep this OS. This makes Vista look even worse. Moreover, a lot of reports saying that the user back to using XP after trying Vista.
10. Marketing responsibilities. Unlike the previous release of Windows versions, Microsoft is not much to market Vista. Although there are a few posters and TV ads for Vista, Vista marketing cannot be compared with the launch of several earlier versions, where they managed to get the attention of people around the world.
11. Performance - you were not supposed to release a new OS that was developed during more than four years with a worse performance than the previous OS. Performance should be a top priority.
